I think most of us stopped sending mass emails soon after the novelty of email wore off because we didn't like being inundated with these types of messages. I find that my mom and older generations in general are still guilty of regularly sending mass emails about the latest web scam, jokes, etc. Here are some approaches that have helped me declutter my inbox, 1) politely ask the person to stop sending you emails (better over the phone, than email, so they don't get offended) 2) just delete them 3) create a filter, so that person's email goes into a special folder instead of your inbox for you to review later. As someone who works on the web, I've learned that mass emails generally have a very low response rate, compared to highly target emails. You'll make your friends and family happier only when you send them information that they truly care about and shows them how much you understand what is truly important to them. It's very funny and very gross. Apr 10, 2007 - 08:04 am http://www.bostonknows.com South End Pedestrians Need to Pick up the Pace http://www.bostonknows.com/pages/index.php?item=205&group=22 I'm a pedestrian and a biker most of the time, so I appreciate that there are now even more pedestrian crosswalk markers in the South End. However, that doesn't mean pedestrians rule the road. I even get annoyed when I see a pedestrian chatting on their cell phone as they saunter across the street. Pick up the pace! Seems like there are quite a few other Bostonians with "ice cream truck rage". A hearing was held at City Hall to look at ways to enforce existing noise ordinances.
