Downtown Wine & Spirits needed to expand their customer footprint to a wider geographic area. We suggested focusing more deeply on their expertise, namely: beer, wine, spirits.
The question for Downtown was how to share that knowledge while still conveying their sense of personal service. The answer turned out to be simple—employee-written blogs.
Customers to Downtown’s website land on a homepage with employee Polaroids. The site design takes its inspiration from the store’s tasting-area blackboard that lists daily specials, upcoming tastings, and even weather forecasts from selected wine regions.
With one click, customers enter the world of Downtown’s employee blogs, written with insight and personality. Their unique and useful content is easily shared by their customers, helping them draw patrons from well beyond their Somerville location.
